PADI is the most renowned scuba diving training organisation. No matter where you go in the world, your PADI certification will be recognised and accepted.
To earn your PADI certification, you progress at your own pace and only move on with the course once you demonstrated mastery of all skills required. PADI courses are built to allow you to do so in an encouraging, fun and well-supported learning environment.
All PADI programs are monitored closely for worldwide consistency and quality. No other diver training organisation maintains the same level of proactive approach to quality management. This ensures all courses meet PADI’s high standards as well as the divers’ expectations.
PADI materials are designed using state-of-the-art technology and pedagogic theories to provide a comprehensive and fun learning experience. Complete the self-study part in the way that works best for you, choosing your materials from a variety of options: online programs, tablet-based apps, manuals and workbooks.
Coral Grand Divers is a well-organised and safety oriented PADI 5 Star IDC Resort, offering diving from Koh Samui and Koh Tao. To qualify for this rating a dive shop must meet elevated service and business standards. We are proud to hold this prestigious rating since 2003 and we keep improving every year to live up to all our customers’ expectations.
At Coral Grand Divers we pride ourselves on an excellent level of customer service and professionalism. Our PADI Instructors are not only fun but also very patient, safety oriented and love to share their passion for diving.
All our PADI courses are conducted from Koh Tao. The course price therefore also includes accommodation in a basic but clean en-suite fan room, no dorms! The diving rooms are on the beachfront premises of the 3 Star Coral Grand Resort, so you can enjoy the 2 swimming pools, beach lounges and towel service.
The dive centre and the diving accommodation are nestled in a beautiful palm tree garden at the North end of Sairee Beach, Koh Tao. The centre of Sairee is only a short walk away, where you can find a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. Why not spend your time away from Koh Samui exploring the heart of Koh Tao?
I had booked via email to complete PADI certification over 4 days. The overall experience was wonderful and I had a great time with my instructors and fellow divers. The service from start to finish was very good- staff helps you get equipment, taxi to the pier with water and snacks on board the dive boats for the day, and easy process for completing paperwork for certification. Although my class size was small, there were multiple instructors and various sizes of the groups. Despite the larger number of people going diving on a particular day, things never seemed crowded and the instructors were very attentive to each member of their class. I'd definitely recommend this group for both SCUBA and hotel combo.

Wonderful Holiday at a great resort, fantastic Dive Masters and Instructors and an awesome Snorkelling trip with Sandy the resident "Snorkel Master", saw about 15 reef sharks of various sizes on the Snorkelling trip. We stayed at the Coral Grand resort. Food was great, beers even greater......met the most amazing people from all over the world and we had excellent weather for two weeks. I cried when I had to leave.

The equipment was good and was treated well. I always felt like I was in good hands and was also lucky enough to be in a great group of 3 others who were also taking the OW course. Coral Grand does have a policy of keeping the groups as small as possible in order to be able to provide better focus on training individuals. David was always willing to repeat or re-show anything we felt uncertain about and he did so with plenty of patience. There was no rushing. I will return to GCD at some point for sure. I can highly recommend Coral Grand Divers! Don’t hesitate. Go do it!

Did Open Water with my two daughters at 11 and 14 years old. We had a fantastic experience with Rasmus as instructor and Julie as assistent. We had fun, but everything was carried out very professional and we felt that we were in very good hands during the entire course.

Coral Grand is amazing. My husband and I went here to get my PADI cetified. We had such a great experience a year later we came back and brought our two friends. They got certified here as well. The staff is great and always make you feel comfortable. I can't wait to go back in the future to dive with them again!

I took the open water diver course with my girlfriend at coral grand and it was a great experience. The teaching was fantastic and the equipment was in good shape. We had Benny as our instructor and he was incredibly professional with an amazing attitude. You really learn how to become a diver, everything is extremely well defined and concepts are clear. You really feel prepared after having completed the course.

I did my Open Water course with CGD in Koh Tao per a friend's recommendation and had an AMAZING time. Definitely the highlight of my entire month backpacking throughout SE Asia. Staffers and instructors were all professional and friendly - always willing to chat and share their knowledge. Groups were kept small to maximize learning time. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommended. P.S. The resort is awesome! It's located right on the beach and there's a pool for after hours.

I did my advanced PADI course with Coral Grand after being recommended by a friend. I found them to be very friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. The staff there really helped me to enjoy the course. The resort is nice too, far enough up the beach to not here the noise of the crazy beach parties, but near enough to walk down to them if that's your thing. Felt safe at all times during the dives, and really enjoyed them, especially the deep dive at Chumphon pinnacle. I'd highly recommend these guys, I plan to go back and dive with them again. Thanks Coral Grand!

Never having tried diving before, I came to CGD in early January to do my open water course. I was put in a group with an awesome instructor - Erez - and fell in love with diving. I signed up for the AOW as soon as my OW course ended, and went back 2 weeks later to do an Emergency First Response/Rescue diving course. I'm now signed up to do CGD's Divemaster Training program!

Absolutely incredible experience! It's a diving family! I went to Koh Tao thinking that I would stay 3 days, get Open Water certified, and leave. Thanks to Coral Grand, and the amazing staff, 9 days and 12 dives later, I left with my advanced open water and nitrox certs, a life changing experience, and a diving family. I cannot imagine having a better experience learning to dive....

There's nothing wrong with enjoying looking at the surface of the ocean itself, except that when you finally see what goes on underwater, you realize that you've been missing the whole point of the ocean. Staying on the surface all the time is like going to the circus and staring at the outside of the tent.
