Then the standard option of the PADI Advanced Open Water Course is the way to go! There are no quizzes or exams, only the knowledge reviews need to be completed and corrected together with your Instructor. The rest of the 2 days will be filled with the 5 exciting adventure dives you’ve chosen.
The standard version of the PADI Advanced Open Water course takes only 2 1/2 days and includes academic sessions with your PADI Instructor, a little bit of homework and 5 adventure dives of your choice.
Anytime | Orientation: After you checked in, one of our Instructors will complete all the necessary paperwork with you and hand you the PADI materials you will be using the next few days. After discussing which adventure dives you wish to choose, you will also receive the knowledge reviews to the according chapters – your homework for the next days.
Homework | Complete the knowledge reviews for your first 3 adventure dives.
08:30 to 17:00 | Meet your Instructor at the dive centre, correct your homework and discuss all the questions you may have. After a lunch break you join our afternoon boat trip for the first two adventure dives, usually the navigation and peak performance buoyancy dives.
17:45 to 20:00 | Optional night dive: If you wish to do the night dive it will be either on day 1 or day 2, depending on our boat schedule. Head out just as the sun is disappearing in the ocean and experience diving in a new, exciting way.
Homework | Complete the last two knowledge reviews
05:45 to 11:00 | Get ready early in the morning for your next two adventure dives. Enjoy a coffee and some toast on our boat while the sun rises over Koh Tao. Your first adventure dive will be the deep dive, to a maximum of 30 metres. The second dive could be the wreck dive or any other adventure dive you’ve chosen. In case you did not finish the academic session on the day before, your Instructor will go through the rest of the knowledge reviews with you after you come back from the dives.
17:45 to 20:00 | Optional night dive: If not done on day 1 you will join or night boat on day 2.

To ensure your safety underwater anyone who has not been diving for 12 months or longer is required to refresh their scuba skills and dive theory knowledge. The PADI ReActivate offers great value for money. We also offer the option of a scuba refresher in the swimming pool if you are short on time. This can be done on day 1 of your Advanced Open Water course.

The purpose of this form is to find out if you should be examined by a doctor before participating in diver training. A positive response to a question does not necessarily disqualify you from diving. A positive response means that there is a preexisting condition that may affect your safety while diving and you must seek the advice of your physician prior to engaging in dive activities. As not all conditions can be cleared on Koh Tao we strongly recommend to see a physician prior to your arrival.
