Ship wrecks are fascinating windows to the past and also buses, cars and even airplanes are fascinating to explore and usually covered with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for discovery, potentially unlocking a mystery or spying something others have missed. The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course is popular because it offers rewarding adventures while learning responsible wreck diving practices on Koh Tao.
Gain your PADI Wreck Diver Specialty certification in only 4 days. No quizzes or exam, just 2 knowledge reviews and 4 exciting dives! The below schedule is an example and can be adjusted according to your personal needs. The PADI Wreck Diver can also be easily combined with the PADI Deep Diver and PADI Enriched Air Diver Speciality courses. As we can only do one dive at the Wreck per dive trip, you have the choice book 4 additional fun dives for only THB 700 each.
Anytime | Orientation: Anytime during the day prior to the start of your course, you will receive your PADI materials and fill out some paperwork. In your own time during the evening you get started with reading the PADI Wreck Diver manual and complete the first knowledge review.
05:45 to 14:00 | Meet your Instructor early in the morning to go on your first Wreck adventure dive. You can choose to do an additional fun dive. Once you are back on shore you will go correct your homework and then relax for the rest of the day.
05:45 to 17:00 | Meet bright and early to go on your second morning dive trip. You have the option again to do the first dive as fun dive or just sit it out. The second dive will be dedicated to map the wreck. Go back to the dive centre for lunch and then head straight back out for one or two more dives. During your third PADI Wreck Specialty dive you will focus on line deployment, which is preferably done on a shallow dive site. The second dive would be a fun dive or you can just relax on the boat.
05:45 to 11:00 | Get up early one last time for the final dive of your PADI Wreck Diver Specialty. During this dive you have the option of penetrating the wreck and explore the HTMS Sattakut from the inside. Again, you have the option to book an additional fun dive on this dive trip. Finish around 11:00 and celebrate your newly gained PADI Wreck Diver certification!

To ensure your safety underwater any diver who has not been diving for 12 months or longer is required to refresh their scuba skills and dive theory knowledge. We recommend the PADI ReActivate program as it offers great value for money. If you are short on time, we also offer a scuba refresher in the swimming pool which can be done on the same day as the first adventure dives. Contact us for a personalised solution.

The purpose of this form is to find out if you should be examined by a doctor before participating in diver training. A positive response to a question does not necessarily disqualify you from diving. A positive response means that there is a preexisting condition that may affect your safety while diving and you must seek the advice of your physician prior to engaging in dive activities. As not all conditions can be cleared on Koh Tao we strongly recommend to see a physician prior to your arrival.
