01 Mar The magic of Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is not just a sport or a leisure activity – it’s a lifestyle. If you have ever dived before, you will remember how the world changes once you emerge into the big blue. There is no gravity, you can move freely in all directions. It’s peacefully quiet and all you hear is your own breath. You can move weightless, effortless through the magical underwater world and observe some of the most amazing creatures on this planet. No wonder, that many people change the way of planning their holiday after completing their PADI Open Water course. As a diver you have access to the blue two-thirds of our planet, why would you not want to explore as many exciting destinations as possible? Or maybe you fall in love with Scuba Diving or a Scuba Diver so much that you decide to completely change your life.

Scuba Diver Lifestyle - Quote of Jacques-Yves Cousteau

Scuba Diver Lifestyle

Every year thousands of people decide to change their life by turning their passion into their job. While travelling the world you might come across many of us, embracing the Scuba Diver Lifestyle.

The above video may not be accurate for all scuba divers as there is many places to work & dive which are not tropical. However, for our lovely little island Koh Tao it describes the lifestyle perfectly. Here we only wear flip-flops or even no shoes at all. People on the street have sun bleached hair, uneven tans and the biggest worry of the day is what to eat for dinner. Nobody cares what clothes you are wearing, what college degree you may have or who your friends are. At the end of the day you can find people sitting on the beach, drinking a local beer and chatting about their dives and exchanging stories.

Koh Tao has a special vibe, which is difficult to put in words. There may be better diving in the world, or more beautiful beaches and better parties – but once you are here it will be difficult to leave.
